The Glen Rose 11 Bed Emergency Department Expansion was completed at the end of 2009. The new construction allowed the Emergency Department to grow from four to eleven beds along with lab and radiology expansions, renovation of the lobby and relocation of the pharmacy and medical records department. Robins and Morton Group contracted with Alpha Insulation and Waterproofing to provide the below-grade waterproofing, stainless steel metal flashing, self-adhering flashing, building sealants (interior and exterior) and the site sealants.
Oak Bend Medical Center Sugarland, TX
Oak Bend Medical Center is a general medical and surgical facility located in Richmond, TX with 153 beds. This medical center is Fort Bend County's only Level III Advanced Trauma Center, offering award winning services including cancer care, diabetes, heart and vascular care (including specialized wound treatment). The Robins and Morton Group and Alpha had to team up to tackle this large firestopping project together with the Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing trades to meet the stringent code requirements in Fort Bend County. Alpha also provided the installation of the exterior damp proofing, membrane flashing, exterior building sealants, and site sealants.
Peterson Regional Medical Center Kerrville, TX
The Peterson Regional Medical Center is a $55 million hospital located in Kerrville, the heart of the Texas Hill Country. This three story, 247,000 square foot community facility with integral central plant consist of 125 private patient rooms, administrative & support areas, diagnostic services area, imaging services, surgery units, 21-station Emergency Department, education classrooms, pharmacy and laboratory on a 33 acres campus. Alpha provided Robins & Morton damp proofing and flashing services for the exterior building facade as well as exterior and interior building joint sealants and firestop systems at the rated interior partitions.
Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies Orlando, FL
The Winnie Palmer Hospital, part of the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, is a unique $100 million, 406,000 SF, 12 story glass and masonry circular structure that includes 273 patient rooms, 112 neonatal beds, 12 operating rooms, and 30 labor and delivery rooms. The project was the recipient of the 2006 ABC Project of the Year, as well as the 2006 Free Enterprise Award that recognizes the General Contractor that utilizes the most members of the local ABC Chapter. Alpha Insulation and Waterproofing was contracted to install the complete perimeter fire containment, waterproofing, and air/vapor scope of work. This project was the first major signature project for the Alpha Orlando branch.
