Chairman & Chief Executive Officer

Vic established Alpha Insulation & Waterproofing in 1982 in San Antonio, TX. Prior to that, Vic was President of Alamo Insulation Co. from 1977 to 1982. Company headquarters was moved when Vic opened the Atlanta, GA office in 1982. He currently resides in Georgia and oversees business and market development, marketing, finance, insurance and bonding needs of all Alpha operations. Over the years, he has been actively involved with various trade organizations and served as President of Georgia Walls & Ceilings Association. He currently is a board member of National Association of Minority Contractors and Boys and Girls Club of Atlanta. Vic has over 32 years of experience in specialty construction and has served on advisory boards for Bank of North Georgia, Owens Corning & Johns Manville. He has a bachelor’s degree in engineering, an associate's degree in International Marketing, Marketing Management and he is a graduate of Leadership Atlanta, class of 2005.

Henry Schmueckle Henry Schmueckle
Corp. President

Henry Schmueckle has more than 27 years experience in the construction industry. Henry joined Alpha Insulation and Waterproofing in 1988 as a Project Manager. Henry holds Specialty Trade Contractor Licenses in the States of Louisiana, Arkansas and Mississippi. In 1995, Henry was promoted to Executive Vice President/Partner in the firm and in 2007, Henry was promoted to Corp. President. He currently oversees estimating, production and day to day operation needs of all Alpha operations. Henry is a graduate of Texas State Technical College where he received an Associates Degree in Applied Science specializing in Building Construction Technology.

Michael Bowen Michael Bowen
Comptroller

Michael joined our Alpha team in 1991 as Comptroller and was instrumental in implementing our "in house" job cost accounting and currently oversees the day to day accounting operations for all entities. In addition, he is responsible for Business Insurance and cash flow management of Alpha operations. Prior to joining Alpha, Michael was an accounting manager with a multinational Fortune 100 company and has devoted 31 years to accounting best practices. Michael earned a B.B.A in accounting from Georgia State University.

David Mistler David Mistler
Director of Firestop Division

David has more than 32 years experience in the construction industry. David joined Alpha Insulation and Waterproofing in June 2010 as Director of Firestop Division. Prior to joining Alpha, he spent 21 years with Hilti, Inc. Past experience includes Sales, Contract Administration, Sales Management and Firestop Product / Market Management. He currently oversees development of Alpha’s Firestop Specialty Contracting business segment.

Naren Patel
Southeast Regional Manager

Naren joined the Alpha team in April 1999 and is the Southeast Regional Manager. Prior to joining Alpha, Naren started his career with a prominent international construction management and design firm. He has over 18 years of industry experience and currently oversees the sales and general operations of the Charlotte, Atlanta and Orlando offices. In addition, he serves as the current president of the Georgia Walls & Ceiling Industry Association as well as involvement in various local organizations such as Associated Builders & Contractors of Georgia. Naren is a graduate of the University of Florida with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering.

Larry Tedford Larry Tedford
Director of Operations — Atlanta

Larry joined the Alpha team in 1997 and is currently the Director of Operations, overseeing and managing all activities for the Charlotte office as well as providing guidance and support for the field operations at the Atlanta and Orlando offices. He has held positions as a laborer, foreman, Field Superintendent, General Superintendent, and Project Manager. Additionally, he has managed work in both Puerto Rico and Bahamas. Larry holds manufacturer certifications from Grace, Isolatek, and BASF.

Dean Whitcomb Dean Whitcomb
Director of Operations - Orlando

Dean joined Alpha Insulation and Waterproofing in June 2004, and was hired to open the Orlando branch location — overseeing all aspects of operations and business development. He has over 20 years of industry experience, and has held a variety of sales and management positions in all segments of the construction market, including distribution, manufacturing, and contracting. Prior to joining Alpha Insulation and Waterproofing, Dean worked for W.R. Grace & Co. as the North American Product Manager - Waterproofing, as well as Regional Product Specialist for Firestopping products. Dean is a graduate of Hartwick College in New York where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree - Management, and Rollins College in Orlando, where he received a Masters of Business Administration (MBA).

Chuck Jahant Chuck Jahant
Texas Regional Sales Manager

Chuck joined Alpha Insulation and Waterproofing in September of 1995 as the Division Manager at the Dallas office and was recently promoted to Texas Regional Sales Manager. Before joining Alpha, Chuck worked in the manufacturing side of the business for over 20 years, including over 10 years with W.R. Grace & Company in their waterproofing, fireproofing and firestopping division. Chuck is a graduate of Baylor University where he majored in marketing/management.

John Smith John Smith
Texas Regional Operations Manager

John joined Alpha Insulation and Waterproofing, Inc., San Antonio branch, in January 1984 and has filled various positions since then. While working at our San Antonio location, he has held positions in Estimating/Sales, Project Management, Operations and General Manager. In July 1998, John relocated to our Dallas branch as the General Manager and in 2005, he took over as our Director of Operations, supervising all field operations. John graduated from St. Philip’s Junior College with an Associates Degree in Applied Science. John was promoted to Texas Regional Operations Manager in fall of 2011.

Robby Madsen Robby Madsen
Sales – Business Development

Since joining Alpha Insulation and Waterproofing Inc. in 2006, Robby has held multiple positions including Superintendent, Project Manager and Sales Coordinator for the Austin market. He currently holds the position as Manager of Business Development for Texas market. In his short tenure with Alpha, Robby has displayed his leadership and management skills while receiving the “Rising Star” award in 2008, and “Project Manager/Salesman of the Year” award in 2009. He is also a member of the Round Rock Chamber of Commerce as well as several other professional organizations. Robby attended Oklahoma State University where he studied Business Management and received his Bachelor’s Degree in 2005.

Gilbert Alvarez Gilbert Alvarez
Director of Quality Control

Gilbert joined Alpha Insulation and Waterproofing in January of 1989 as a field mechanic and has since held various positions within the company. He has 26 years of industry experience and over 20 years of management experience. Over the years, Gilbert has been active with various trade organizations such as AGC, ASA and served on the Board of Directors for the ABC.

Greg Wiatrek Greg Wiatrek
Sales – Business Development

Greg joined Alpha Insulation and Waterproofing in July 1998 as a Field Superintendent. He has also held the position of General Superintendent before becoming the Director of Operations in 2006. He has 21 years of management experience and has over 15 years of experience in the construction industry. Greg is a graduate of the University of Texas-San Antonio where he received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Management In Building Development.

Matthew Carpenter Matthew Carpenter
Director of Operations — Houston

Matt started working with the Houston branch in 2003 as an estimator. He was one of the first graduates of the Alpha University program. In 2005, he received the Alpha Rising Star award and in 2006 he became Operations Manager at the Houston branch. He is certified with the Air Barrier Association of America (ABAA); he is also a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and served in Operation Southern Watch and Operation Enduring Freedom.

Randy Strother Randy Strother
East Coast Fireproofing Manager

Randy joined Alpha Insulation and Waterproofing at their Atlanta office in 2006. He has 30 years of experience in the construction industry with 25 years in leadership and management positions. For the past 15 years, he has focused on sprayed fire resistive materials, spray applied insulations and is currently actively pursuing our newest venture in sprayed foam. Randy has received certifications from the National Fireproofing Contractors of America and 3M Firestop.

Donald Brunner Donald Brunner
East Coast Fireproofing Manager

Donald joined the Alpha team in February 1996 and has been trained in every aspect of the industry from mechanic to estimating to operations. He has also been involved with major projects such as Atlantis in Bahamas, World of Coke in Atlanta, and Georgia Aquarium.

Ross Bahl Ross Bahl
Director of Operations – Austin

Ross is the fireproofing Operations Manager for Alpha Insulation and Waterproofing, Inc. and carefully monitors all spray fireproofing and spray applied insulation operations in Texas and surrounding states. He is also currently dedicated to expanding our services into the sprayed urethane foam market. Ross joined Alpha Insulation and Waterproofing in May 2007 and has 22 years experience in these fields serving as a Project Manager and President of Bahl Fireproofing, Inc. Ross’ experience and leadership brings unlimited resources and expertise to the Alpha Insulation and Waterproofing team.

Joe Stinson Joe Stinson
Territory Manager — Alabama

Joe joined our Atlanta Office in 2007 shortly after graduating from University of Georgia. After spending six months in the field training under the Atlanta office’s most senior superintendents, Joe then moved into consecutive estimating and project management roles. At the conclusion of his first year in August 2008, Joe was assigned the responsibilities of project management exclusively. Joe gained invaluable operations experience managing projects such as Tate Student Center, as well as all subcontracts at The Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson Airport, M.H.J New International Terminal. He was named Alpha Insulation and Waterproofing’s Project Manager of the Year in 2009, and is a member of ABC’s Young Leaders class of 2010.

Mark Resendez Mark Resendez
Safety Director/Fleet Administrator

Mark joined Alpha Insulation and Waterproofing in May 1996 and has held several positions within the company. Initially, he started as Production Manager, moved into Purchasing and part-time Safety Director and then made the launch to full-time Safety Director. He currently oversees the entire Safety Program for all the branches at Alpha and is also our Fleet Administrator for the entire company. Mark is a graduate of Texas A&M University in College Station where he received a Bachelor of Science degree.

Wayne Hopkins Wayne Hopkins
District Safety Coordinator

Wayne joined the Alpha team in 2005. Since joining the team, Wayne has gone back to school and graduated from Southern Polytechnic State University with a Certificate in Project Management for Construction. Wayne has acquired the OSHA 500 through the Department of Labor giving him the authorization to teach OSHA 10 and 30-hour classes. Wayne has trained with American Heart Association and now teaches CPR, AED, and First Aid; he also travels all over the east coast teaching our Alpha team all aspects of construction safety. Wayne currently sits on the Georgia ABC Safety Forum, as the Chairman of the Board, where he consistently strives to better the construction safety industry.

Brian Lenix Brian Lenix
Regional Manager – Houston/Louisiana

Brian Lenix has more than 10 years of experience in the construction industry. Brian joined Alpha Insulation and Waterproofing in 2011 as Regional manager for the Houston/Louisiana market. He has held a variety of sales and financial management positions in the construction market both from the manufacturing, and distribution side of the business. Prior to joining Alpha Insulation and Waterproofing, Brian worked for Owens Corning as an Area Sales Manager for their Insulating System Business. Earlier in his career, Brian was a Financial Manager for Graybar Electric and a Leader in Owens Corning's Customer Financial Services Division. Brian is a graduate of The University of Toledo where he received a Bachelor's of Business Administration Degree majoring in Finance and Information Systems.

Daniel Gammon Daniel Gammon
Territory Manager – Nashville

Daniel began with Alpha Insulation and Waterproofing in the Atlanta office in 2009, where he worked in the East Coast Fireproofing Department as an estimator. As an estimator, he was responsible for pricing and sales assistance of spray fireproofing and spray insulation for the North Carolina, Orlando and Atlanta offices. In 2011, Daniel relocated to Nashville, Tennessee, to assist in management of the Music City Convention Center Project and to further pursue opportunities for Alpha in the Tennessee market. He was then promoted to Territory Manager for Nashville. He is a graduate of the 2010 ABC Young Leaders Class and was named Alpha Insulation and Waterproofing’s “Rising Star” in 2009. Daniel is a 2006 graduate of Western Kentucky University where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Elio Rodriguez Elio Rodriguez
Sales – Business Development

Elio joined Alpha Insulation & Waterproofing in 2008 as a superintendent and has worked his way into a project manger and sales position. Elio has over 11 years experience in commercial construction and is experienced in all phases of construction. Elio is responsible for achieving Alpha’s sales goals for the State of Florida. In Addition to Elio’s duties at Alpha Insulation & Waterproofing he is very involved with the following organizations- Professional Construction Estimators Association (PCEA), ABC of Central Florida and AGC of Florida.

Shaun Vogel Shaun Vogel
Sales - Business Development – San Antonio

Shaun joined the team in April 2004 and is one of the first to graduate from the Alpha University program, which was started to train and fuel future organic growth. In addition, Shaun received Top Sales Producer of the year award in 2008. His current responsibility is Sales & Business Development for the San Antonio market. Shaun has gone thru extensive training in estimating and project Management prior to assuming his current role. Shaun is a 2003 graduate from Texas State University where he received a Bachelor Degree in Construction Management.

Matt Mittelstet Matt Mittelstet
Operations Manager – Dallas

Matt joined Alpha Insulation & Waterproofing, Inc. in November, 2010 as a Project Manager at the Dallas/Ft. Worth office with 9 years of experience in the commercial construction industry. Prior to joining Alpha, he was an Area Superintendent with Hensel Phelps Construction Co. During his 9 years with Hensel Phelps, Matt also held positions as a Field Engineer, Office Engineer and Project Engineer. Matt was recently promoted to Operations Manager of the Dallas/Ft. Worth office in September 2011. He is a graduate of Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Management Technology.
