K-13 Insulation for Thermal Insulation
K-13 is a commercial insulation material made from recycled cellulose fibers treated with fire retardants, then mixed with water-based adhesives to provide a fast, durable spray-on insulation that is Class A, Class 1 rated.
It offers an attractive, textured finish that can be left exposed, and it’s available in multiple colors to match the design of the building.
Thanks to its cellulose base, K-13 offers excellent thermal performance and can be installed in layers up to 10 inches thick to meet the thermal insulation requirements of the facility. It requires no mechanical support for layers up to 5 inches thick, and because it fills gaps and voids in the installation area, it creates a good air seal that minimizes drafts.
K-13 Acoustical Spray Insulation for Sound Absorption
As it’s sprayed into place, K-13 insulation forms countless small air pockets that give it excellent thermal performance and excellent sound-deadening abilities. This makes it ideal as an acoustical insulation in large commercial spaces, reducing the transmission of sound and preventing distracting echoes.

Benefits of High R-Value Insulation
Insulation is classified by its R-value, or its resistance to the conduction of heat. Materials with a high R-value offer better insulating properties and reduced heat transfer than those with a lower R-value. Choosing insulation with a higher R-value per inch means you don’t have to add as much insulation to be effective, and you can reach a higher total R-value in less space.
K-13 spray insulation has an R-value of about 3.75 per inch, similar to fiberglass.
